What do you do with the Devices Donated?
We inspect the components visually (when possible) and performance wise.
We will tinker and make small adjustments or replacement parts when necessary for a new e-life.
There may still be valuable components that we can utilize in similar devices if the device doesn't pass our QA Tests.
We take the time to erase any data if left on the disk. We do encourage you to do this before donating for your peace of mind.
We add a fresh installation of a compatible Operating System.
This includes adding any open source software for Productivity and Web Browsing. Our goal is to make the device "Out of the Box" ready for the new user.
How are devices donated?
We partner with multiple organizations, non-profits, churches, etc. with a shared mission who will unite our "Re-Pete'd" device to its new owner(s).
How are items discarded?
The devices, parts and other components that cannot be refurbished, retrofitted, or not utilized are ethically recycled with a partner and our local municipality location.

Backup any personal contents and data. Please double check, once we receive your device it will be wiped, and any data cannot be recovered.
Log out of any Microsoft or Apple Accounts. Remove the device from any "Find My" (Apple) or Microsoft Security Keys. Please disable any BitLocker or BIOS protections that you may have enabled (if any).
Please delete any personal or sensitive information, files, images, etc.
Gather the device with any standard items it came with such as the power adapter, etc. We gladly accept unused wired or wireless keyboards, mouse, pointer devices, cpu fans, webcams, etc.
